Associate Membership
Our associate members are men of noncolor that want to do their part in being an ally for men of color everywhere. They are welcome to join Beyond Brotha as an Associate Member where they are welcome to attend events, represent the organization when present and vote on non-essential tasks when asked.
Beyond Brotha membership is exclusively for male-identified individuals of color. This could be anything from a Black/African-American to a south-east Asian male. The culture of our communities are highly valued and full membership is reserved for us. Full membership includes full voting rights, an invitation to all events/outings and opportunity to join the board of your chapter! To learn more click HERE

Why join Beyond Brotha as an associate member?
Beyond Brotha is the only queer-focused men of color group dedicated to the well being socially, mentally and spiritually. As an associate member you will be advocating right along side us as allys and brothers in the trenches of social, mental and spiritual advancement. The importance of allyship is not overlooked by members of Beyond Brotha, we appreciate the support of all people.
What is a Beyond Brotha Man?
The man that is a Beyond Brothas man is interested in creating a safe space for his fellow men of color wherever he is. He is appreciative and respectful, he is devoted to our mission of inclusivity for men of color and proud to carry out his duties as a brother! His choices and contributions will create a better world than the one we live and plant seeds to further the lives of those coming up.
Im in a frat, whats the difference?
The major difference is, we encourage you to be apart of a group but honor your uniqueness and don't bother trying to change you. Our goal is to learn from one another and further the visual, social, mental and spiritual growth of yourself and those around you. Beyond Brotha isn't a frat, but we are a group that cares very deeply about the security and empowerment of men of color from all over. Also, no need to learn a funky dance.
Associate Membership Requirements
What will membership process look like?
- be 18+
- be a male identified
- be able to attend at-least 50% of the events
- willing to devote a few hours a month to your brothers and their needs
What will membership process look like?
- You will be on probation for 1 month where you will be linked with a Brotha for guidance and mentorship. In this mentorship, you will be able to learn more about the organization and what we do.
- Familiarize yourself with our core values of brotherhood Appreciation, Respect, Devotion, Duty, and Sustainability.
- You will also be asked to come up with an act of brotherly love, this can be anything from a social event to a volunteer opportunity!.
- Finally, you will be asked to write a small piece explaining what your goals are for joining BB.
- You will be granted associate membership
- You will be given a membership pin
- You will receive a associate membership name badge
How much is membership?
Membership is $36 for a full year, that breaks down to $3 a month.
This membership donation goes towards the operations and expenses of the organization.
It can be given all at once or billed the month for a $2 fee totaling $5.

How do I join?
It is really simple, attend a Beyond Brothas event and inquire about membership with a lead brotha! They will have name badges with Executive Brotha or Brotha Board. They will then guide you through the proper channels of becoming a brotha.
